Route 66; Rainy Day

One rainy week in October, my wife and I spent several days in and out of the Art Institute of Chicago enjoying the museum's rich collection. On our last day as we were leaving, after we passed several of Monet's Haystacks, we took one last look at Caillebotte's “Paris Street; Rainy Day.” We were soon out the front door standing in the rain with umbrellas everywhere, taking in the view where Route 66 begins. Accepted into the 2023 Second Triennial de Young Open, the de Young Museum San Francisco. The show runs September 30, 2023 through January 7, 2024.
